What is the height of the house based on the two images?



This problem can be solved by algebra using a system of equations. We can create these two equations by representing the water bottle as B, representing the apple as A, and representing the house as H:

(H + A) - B = 6
(H + B) - A = 9

By adding the two equations together, we get the following:
H + A - A + B - B = 15
The A and B cancel out and give us the following:
H = 15

Therefore the house is 15 feet tall
