Stolen Lottery
Rachel, a young woman who recently lost her job, decided to buy a lottery ticket to test her luck. As she scratched off the surface of the ticket with a penny, she couldn't believe her eyes. "Five million dollars!" she screamed as she jumped around in excitement. Rachel"s face was plastered on every newspaper in the town the next day, and word spread quickly about her fortune.
The publicity worried her, so Rachel decided to take out all the money in cash and bury it in a bag in her backyard. Rachel went outside to water her plants the next day, only to find that her money was missing! As she examined the scene, she noticed large footprints around the area where she buried the money.
She determined that the only people who may have seen her bury the money were her housekeeper, her mailman, and her nosy next-door neighbor. There were notable things about all of them, too. Her housekeeper liked to try on Rachel's shoes, her dogs always bark at her mailman, and her nosy neighbor walks with a cane on his right side.
Who stole Rachel's fortune?
